Artec Construction's History
Artec Construction was founded in 1989 by Arthur Kitlas, the son of an old-world cabinetmaker. Arthur grew up with an appreciation for the historic details that give European homes their character. After completing his degree in Architectural History, Arthur worked his way up at a luxury North Shore home builder. He learned every step of the homebuilding process before joining a Chicago home remodeling company as a project estimator and manager.
In 1989, Artec Construction began with a handful of small home remodeling projects and has grown over the past two decades exclusively on referrals. Today our work includes interior and exterior home remodeling, home additions, condo conversions, new luxury home construction and commercial renovations.
